The new PET Care programs of INTERLIFE ensure substantial cover against accidents and / or diseases in dogs, regardless of breed, purebred or not, and are aimed to those who want to insure their beloved pet, offering it the best possible care.

For your convenience, two packages were created:

The PET Care Basic program, which provides cover exclusively against accidents, for dogs over 3 months old, and takes care of the owners civil liability and/or legal disputes, and

The PET Care Plus, which offers comprehensive cover in every case of accident and illness, for dogs between the ages of 3 months to 10 years old, and takes care of the owners civil liability and/or legal disputes

PET Care Covers

1. Pet Health Rehabilitation Costs

  • Hospitalization Expenses: The Company will cover the expenses you incur for the hospitalization of your pet, with a free choice of doctor or clinic, exclusively within Greece, up to the amount of 1.000€ or 2.000€ per year, depending on the plan you choose, and provided that there is at least one overnight stay in the clinic.
  • Medical Expenses: The Company will cover expenses you incur for Examinations, Doctors’ Fees, Treatments and Surgeries, in order to restore the health of your pet, up to the amount of 500€ per year.

2. Loss of Pet Life

In case of the loss of life of the pet, you will receive compensation of 250€

3. Pet Owner Cover

With PET Care programs you are also covered yourself, as the owner of the pet, both legally and in cases of civil liability. Specifically:

  • Owner’s Liability in case your pet causes Material Damage, Body Injury or Death to third parties, up to the amount of 10.000€ per year.
  • Legal Protection of the Owner for claiming compensation, criminal defense and generally for any legitimate interest of yours, up to the amount of 5.000€ per year.

Maximum cover limit. For all the above covers, is 10.000€ per event and for the entire duration of the insurance, with an exemption of 50€ per incident in the total cover.

Discounts

Multiple insurance discounts

In case of insurance of 2 dogs of the same owner, a 5% discount is provided, while in case of insurance of 3 dogs or more of the same owner, a 10% discount is provided.

Documents required to insure a dog

When concluding the insurance policy, you should have the following:

  • Copy of Electronic Register Certificate
  • Photocopy of all details of the health/passport booklet
  • Photos (full face – profile) of the dog
Supporting documents for compensation

For your immediate service by the Compensation Department, you must have the following:

  • Original payment receipts or copies of bank payments
  • Medical reports
  • Copy of insurance policy
  • Pet medical certificates
  • Pet Death certificate
Insurance Terms

This form does not include the full terms of the insurance policy, but briefly the covers and exceptions that accompany it, in order to decide whether the specific insurance meets your needs. The PET Care Pet Insurance Policy Terms are posted on the following website www.interlife.gr.

PETCare Basic

The program provides your pet with cover, exclusively and ONLY, in cases of an accident, while at the same time it ensures you as its owner, in cases of Civil Liability or Legal Disputes.

Covered

  • Loss of pet life due to Accident
  • Hospital expenses due to an accident
  • Medical Expenses due to an Accident
  • Owner’s Liability
  • Legal Protection of the Owner

Excluded

  • Damages that the pet will cause to the owner or family
  • Deliberate abuse or negligence, infidelity or deceit to the Company
  • Normal mortality of the dog
  • Accidents during the pet’s participation in any kind of races, dogfights, sports or hunting
  • Periodic medical examinations, cosmetic or plastic surgery, vaccines, castration, sterilization, pregnancy or childbirth, diagnostic laparotomy
  • Hospitalization costs beyond five (5) days
  • Deliberate killing for any reason
  • Death from a firearm
  • Loss of the pet due to disappearance, theft, sterilization or castration
  • Any pathological condition or disease that occurs in the first sixty (60) days from the starting date of the insurance policy

PETCare Plus

The program provides the ultimate coverage to your pet, in any case of accident or illness, ensuring you as its owner, in cases of Civil Liability or Legal Disputes.

Covered

  • Loss of pet life due to Accident or Illness
  • Hospital expenses due to Accident or Illness
  • Medical Expenses due to Accident or Illness
  • Owner’s Liability
  • Legal Protection of the Owner

Excluded

  • Damages that the pet will cause to the owner or family
  • Deliberate abuse or negligence, infidelity or deceit
  • Normal mortality of the dog
  • Accidents during the pet’s participation in any kind of races, dogfights, sports or hunting
  • Periodic medical examinations, cosmetic or plastic surgery, vaccines, castration, sterilization, pregnancy or childbirth, diagnostic laparotomy
  • Hospitalization costs beyond five (5) days
  • Deliberate killing for any reason
  • Death from a firearm
  • Death from the diseases Dirofilariasis, Erlichia and Leishmaniasis
  • Death and/or treatment costs for diseases for which vaccines are available and if the pet has not been vaccinated
  • Treatment, hospitalization, treatment or surgery performed without the prior order or recommendation of a veterinarian
  • Loss of the pet due to disappearance, theft, sterilization or castration
  • Any pathological condition or disease that occurs in the first sixty (60) days from the starting date of the insurance policy
